In the second world war,citizen were issued with personal GAS MASKS .
Adult and Baby ones and even Horses.
The ANTI-GAS OINTMENT was used to smear arount the edges of the gas masks or on exposed skin .
This large jar was used by the Mlitary or ARP wardens.
