A great example of a 1950s die cut image of a Cherry sundae with mixed fruit
This amazing find of 1950s Americana ephemera was discovered in a disused American commercial printers. These die cut images were packed up ready to be distributed but for some reason they were never sent out. The boxes they were packed in were stamped 1953.
These die cut images would have been sent out to ice cream parlours and restaurants who would display them on the counters and walls in the hope that customers might order an ice cream.
Luckily for lovers of vintage advertising and 1950s Americana , the cut outs were set aside and forgotten about.Never to see the light of day for nearly 70 years.
The cut out is 29 cm high x 14cm wide , mounted on a 11inch x 14in artist quality mount board
